That was the loving opening word that Mr. Vu Viet Van - Deputy Manager of Nitrogen fertilizer factory sent to his wife and children when he had to go through "unusual" working days that he would never forget in the future.

The year 2021 has almost passed half way, and Mr. Van himself is still working with his colleagues on dual tasks: completing professional work in an effective state of Covid-19 prevention.

“In here, the atmosphere is very urgent. My co-workers and I have to wear masks all the time, and we have to keep distance from each other so it makes working exchange much more difficult. The factory sprays disinfectant regularly; everyone follows the 5K rule for the best disease prevention. The air in the summer days is getting hotter and hotter, but I feel that everyone is trying very hard, with one accord because everyone understands this special situation. Keeping my colleagues, the Company, and the community safe, is also keeping safe for me and my family, so that I can return to my beloved family soon.” 

Mr. Dang Dinh Tho - Head of Quality Management Department continued the letter, venting his thoughts to his children but also telling his heart. Since the pandemic returned and became more complicated, the Board of Directors of the Company soon took the initiative to prepare a defense plan with many strict scenarios.  Particularly, set up an isolation area at the factory; concentrate a team to ensure the smooth operation of the system, regular production, in parallel with disease control to avoid arising infections. However, the leadership still did not forget to create conditions for trade unions to promptly grasp thoughts, aspirations, and difficulties and provide timely support to employees' families, creating a playground for physical training and sports right in the isolation area, operating production to maintain the good health and condition of employees.

“Pacing the necessary things in a hurry to follow the group into the isolation area, I caught sight of Minh Tue waving me goodbye. Some of my co-workers who went with me also tearfully bid farewell to their loved ones, but quickly regained their spirits and encouraged each other in this special battle.”

Despite the outbreak of the disease, the farmers still had to plant and produce, and the Company had to ensure a regular supply of fertilizers to serve the crop. More than ever, the creative work spirit of each PVCFC member is stronger than ever. Especially when the factory is about to enter the periodical maintenance phase, which requires high concentration, the whole team made every effort to urgently complete the planning, human resources, plans and scenarios, so as not to make any mistakes. The centralization of equipment and machinery became more difficult in the state of controlling movement in and out because of the epidemic, but there was no wavering. Under the close direction of the Board of Directors and the Steering Committee for Disease Prevention and Control at the Company, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Deputy General Director cum Factory Director and colleagues are ready to promote the tradition of the team, and determined to carry out the smooth operation and maintenance of the plant in the safest and most successful manner. 

Holding a letter from his daughter, the childish handwriting filled his eyes with faith. "The little brother and I miss you father, when will you come back, father?", those loving words lifted his spirit. He sent his children a loving message that everything is still going very well, everyone is taken care of each safe meal, resting place and necessary items for living. 

Professional tasks will be completed, just like what his colleagues and he have done over the years. But this period is special because everyone knows that they are still lucky to have a job, a place to dedicate their ability, and share the harmony of colleagues and superiors. 

All the preparations have been completed, and the hearts of the people are ready. Amidst the sound of machines in continuous operation, the team was elated, exchanging glances with determination to complete the task. Believing in solidarity, the whole country will soon repel the Covid-19 pandemic, and bring life and work back to normal. Each member will be reunited with their children and loved ones.
