Following that, while the outbreak is hitting the world hard and oil prices are diving remarkably, all the operations are well sustained and optimized thanks to the leaders’ management skills and relentless efforts made by the entire company to sort out the best way in confrontation with such challenges.
This Gas – Electricity – Fertilizer Complex is one of the national pivotal constructions, as well as a typical industrial complex of Petrovietnam. As time went by, an exploited amount of gas had its value optimized, serving not only electricity generation, but also high-quality fertilizers production. Moreover, there was a compelling need in both domestic and international markets.
Concerning fertilizers only, up until 11th November, the plant has officially reached 800 thousand tons of urea produced, which was 51 days before the proposed day in the plan. This follows an enduring 8-year period of which the company never fails to meet its demand prior to the given point of time. With such promising pace, PVCFC is expected to set a record of producing more than 895 thousand tons of urea in the upcoming 17th December, lifting this year’s total number to 922 thousand tons and proudly make it to Top 10 world’s most efficient plants (According to assessment from Haldor Topsoe)
Annually, the complex dedicates approximately 1.400 billion VND to the province’s treasury. Up until now, gas businesses joining the complex hace dedicated over 200 billion to social security activities on Ca Mau.
Mr. Hung has also tabled his motions to the chairwoman. These are closely related to Tax Law 71 amendment, adding 5% VAT to fertilizers, Oil and Gas Law amendment, a progress schedule of Block B Omon projects; planning of Ca Mau electricity plants, 3 and 4, in the complex, etc.
Mrs. Ngan has expressed her appreciation towards Petrovietnam as it has faced up to numerous challenges since the beginning of 2020. However, with an attempt to pull through all of those, Petrovietnam has managed to maintain a stable production rate, incorporate effective business planning and fulfill its aim at dedicating more than 70 billion VND to the National Treasury.
Regarding to the complex, the Chairwoman claimed that it has set such a prime example for Petrovietnam. Apart from such a huge dedication to the treasury and many social security activities which take place yearly, it has made a considerable contribution to an increase in the industrial sector of the Ca Mau’s overall economic structure.
According to Mrs. Ngan, in the future, aside from consideration on what should be added to the amendment program of Oil and Gas Law, a Tax Law will be discussed in the next meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee and proposed in the 11th Meeting. Consequently, the chairwoman has demanded that Petrovietnam and PVCFC deliver a detailed explanation on the change of Tax Law in a sense that it must cover all growers’ needs related to prices and quality. In addition, she requested Petrovietnam to give the National Assembly a rational report on the LNG project which is attached to the harbor.
She emphasized that oil and gas businesses contain rather demanding and grueling economic activities which prove complicated on Vietnamese exclusive economic zone. This appears such a special mission, not merely an exploitation of oil and gas. Also, it is associated with the preservation of national economic as well as territorial rights.
As Petrovietnam has just consolidated the Chairman of the Member’s Council, Mrs. Ngan believes that the industry will proceed with making its name as a sector that is strong, safe and effective in the economics, politics and national defense so as to reach up to the party and government’s expectation. Petrovietnam will continue to make a myriad of breakthroughs in 2021 and following years, contributing to the government’s admirable efforts to reach the demanding “double aim” and the national development as a whole.
As a representative of the corporation, Mr. Hung expressed his appreciation towards Mrs. Ngan’s care and thorough supervision for all the passed time. He has put her opinions under contemplation and hopes that she will continue to offer aids and consultation in the foreseeable future.
On the same date, Mrs. Ngan and her crew attended inauguration ceremony of Son Ca Kindergarten, Cai Ro bridge construction, greeted Thanh Hung, a primary-secondary school in Tan Hung village, Cai Nuoc town. On this occasion, Petrovietnam and PVCFC presented the residents with many gifts.
Prior to that, Mrs. Ngan has had a meeting with local councils to put educational growth, civil stability, etc. under discussion. Shortages and difficulties that Tan Han people have to endure every single day in the rising severity of soil salinity have undoubtedly moved the chairwoman to tears. In consequence, in this visit, Mr. Hung presented 500 fresh warer tanks together with 1 billion VND to the people here.
